Recently, my husband and I attended a Clergy Training Conference (UCAB) United College of Apostles Bishops and Pastors. The training was absolutely phenomenal. Although I know how important prayer is, unfortunately many people including myself fail to realize or remember that prayer is essential in the life of the believers for every circumstance in our life, in our home, in our churches and for the essential health of the entire Body of Christ if we are to be victorious.
I've known the importance or prayer long before attending the conference training, It was very clear and an eye opener that the church and the lost suffers because so few people are praying in and for the church. Everything take precedence over prayer. Not only was I convicted but I have made a promise to God that I will begin to spend more time praying and communicating with him concerning my life, my family and that of my church; therefore the church will be in a position that we may do as God has commissioned us to do by seeking those that are loss that they too may reap the goodness, benefits and love of Christ who died that they too may have eternal life and blessing.
Although, our Pastor and leader has been very clear about the importance of prayer in the body, I'm ashamed that it has not been a priority in the church because people today has the microwave mentality as they need to see something happening now rather than trusting that God 's Will be down in His time.
I don't think is was by accident or chance that I attended this conference, or that I came across New Visions Prayer request Website because I plan on sharing what I have learned to help take our church to a new level in prayer THANK YOU!!
Therefore, I requesting that you pray for me that I will be obedient to God about prayer and that I am able to help others see the importance of prayer in our church. Our church has faced some difficult time recently financial and childish conflicts in the body however God continues to keep us. We know that God established and ordained our church 14 years ago for His purpose. There have been many men, women, children,Veteran and Non- Veterans whose lives have been changed including delivered from drugs, alcohol, sin, mental illness etc, after coming to our church where Christ is the Head and He gets all the Glory.
Please Pray for the Following below :(i know I'm asking for many prayers but we are in need of prayer to move forward with God will in the life of our church)( I'm in agreement.)
1. To keep a burning desire within me to pray for our church
2. An Anointing to teach the church and others the importance of Prayer in the Body
3. Our Pastor Douglas Hobson that God continues to give him Strength and Wisdom concerning (St. Luke Ebony Christian Church) A Multi-Cultural and Diverse Background of Denominational believers all worshiping God in a Non-Denominational Church, where Jesus Christ is the Head as Lord and Savior to All who accepts Him
4. That the members are in agreement with the Vision that God has given the Pastor concerning the Church
5. That God would provide the finances so that we can build our Sanctuary so that we have enough room to bring lost men, women and children into the House of God
6. Finances for the Land and Structure so that we can have adequate space to expand our Evangelism and Mission Outreach services and programs for the homeless population, the Veteran Population and anyone who needs help.
7. For the church to see the importance of Prayer in the body.
8. That God would send me a confidant and a Personal Prayer Partner via in person or over the phone
